A new arts and crafts studio in Middlesex County will open to the public next week.
Colorful Creations, located in the Hartfield Village Center, 10880 General Puller Highway, will hold its grand opening on Tuesday, May 27, beginning at 10 a.m., according to owner Susan Brown.
Brown has been creating stained-glass pieces on a commission basis for about four years. “I consider this my second chapter in life, as I am a semi-retired Registered Nurse,” she said. “I purchased a home here in Hartfield in 2019 on the Piankatank River. I have enjoyed nursing and my husband has enjoyed commercial crabbing.”
At the shop, Brown will be teaching stained-glass classes and there will be other classes offered such as mosaic art, children’s crafts, crushed glass, candle making, jewelry making, and many more.
