Artists Sunday entices holiday shoppers to Tappahannock

This Sunday, Nov. 26, is designated as Artists Sunday, the world’s largest art event.

Locally, the Tappahannock Artists Guild will be hosting an open house from 1-4 p.m. that day to showcase its holiday window display and to preview its holiday show with small works and gift items.

“We are excited to join this national campaign to bring attention to local artists and celebrate arts in our community,” said TAG’s Executive Director Paige Conner Totaro.

TAG member artists have been working to create small works that will make perfect gifts for local residents. Leslie Rennolds’s felted trees and mosaic oysters are sure to delight anyone. Liz Harper has been painting small canvases with local scenes.

On Sunday, the gallery will be decorated for the holidays and welcomes the public to come in and enjoy cider and cookies while they shop.
