Artists featured this month in RAL windows in Kilmarnock

Lively, nature-inspired artwork is on display until March 28 in the windows of the Rappahannock Art League Art Center on Main Street in Kilmarnock. Throughout the month, visitors can explore oil and pastel pieces by Jody Ball, oil and cold wax works by Bonnie-Leigh Jones, and glass art by Sandy Neumann. Ball’s oil paintings and pastels merge realism with gentle impressionism, said a press release. Her artistic goal is to express authenticity, sincerity and tranquility, drawing inspiration from the natural world. An Ohio native, Ball took early arts lessons and completed a year of commercial art at the University of Cincinnati. Over 20 years, she has taught artists of all ages and donated her talents to community projects such as murals and stage sets. Currently devoted to fine art, she has exhibited at regional venues, receiving a variety of awards.
