Joseph Gyurcsak

Artist Joseph Gyurcsak of New Jersey is offering a three-day workshop titled “Learning to Paint Nocturne Successfully” from 7-9:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, Oct. 5-7 at the Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews.

Students will learn how to set up, interpret and successfully paint night scenes, said a press release. Gyurcsak will demonstrate proven ways to block in and interpret various color lighting situations. Beginner to advanced painters are welcome.

Gyurcsak paints a broad range of subject matter, including interiors, still life, figures, and landscapes, said the release. He uses a bold and candid approach to capture the essence of his subject matter. The award-winning painter exhibits in galleries across the country.
