Artist Talk set for March 16 at Arts on Main

Caroline Garrett Hardy, a 2024 exhibiting artist at Arts on Main, will give an Artist Talk at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, at the gallery at 6580 Main Street, Gloucester. It is free and open to the public.

A full-time artist, Hardy’s first artistic breakthrough came at the age of four, said a press release. She drew a fox wearing a vest and a feathered cap and holding a basket of eggs, and she swore to her mother that was precisely the way the fox looked when it ran across the front lawn. From that point on, art was her passion.

Hardy holds a BFA in painting and printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University, an MFA in printmaking from the Cranbrook Academy of Art, and a second MFA in book arts from Ohio State University.
