An opening reception for the Story of Mathews show will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Bay School Community Arts Center, Main Street, Mathews. There will be drinks, finger foods, and a chance to meet the artists.

A total of six artists have entered their work in the show, which features pieces that view the history, locations, and way of life in Mathews through the eyes of the artists. The show will be on display through Sept. 26.

Along with the show will be an exhibit of entries from the Mathews Market Days poster contest. The winner of the contest will be announced Saturday.
