An Artisan Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Bay School on Main Street in Mathews.Fifteen vendors are scheduled to display and sell such handcrafted goods as paintings, pottery, soaps, fine jewelry, leather jewelry, fiber arts, and more, said a press release.

A children’s art activity will be held in the classroom at the side of the building from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Each child will be able to create a print using fish forms. Guests are asked to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. It is preferred that visitors wear masks when interacting with outdoor vendors, as well.

“Our Village Artists” show will be on display in the gallery, showcasing artwork comprised of Mathews art and/or by Mathews artists. The show and inventory are also available online.

The September Artist of the Month is Dennis Rundlett, whose work will be on display.
