A private graveside funeral will be held at Zion Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, for Arthur Franklin Harris Sr. Mr. Harris, 92, entered eternal rest at Walter Reed Convalescent Center, Gloucester, on Oct. 3, 2020. He was the youngest of five children born to the late Harvey and Essie Harris of Gloucester.

Arthur was raised in Gloucester County, and attended Gloucester Training School.

Arthur retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) with over 30 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Harris; the youngest of his five sons, Timothy Harris, and stepson, James Jackson.

He is survived by three sons, Arthur Harris Jr. (Cynthia), John Harris and Alfred Harris (Pamela); one grandson, Monte Harris (Tiffany); two great-granddaughters, Trinity and Taelynn; brother-in-law, Matt Jackson (Rose), and a host of relatives and friends.

Service under the direction of Howard Funeral Home, Gloucester.
