Art Speaks Encore Exhibition opens Saturday

The Art Speaks Encore Exhibition will open Saturday at the Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews.

Featuring the 15 winning artists of the 2020 Art Speaks on the Bay Juried Art Show, the exhibit will include an additional piece by each artist. It will run through May 31.

The 2020 Juried Show was a virtual exhibition because of the coronavirus pandemic. It was held entirely online, with Juror and Judge Nicole McCormick Santiago awarding prizes totaling $5,000 on July 25. This time, the public is invited to stop by and see the show in person.

The award-winning pieces that will be featured in the upcoming exhibition include Michele Fletcher’s Best in Show, “Foggy Morning”; Charlotte McAdams’s 1st Place 2D winner, “Landscape 10”; Maggie Gilman’s 2nd Place 2D winner, “Oaxaca Meat Hall”; and Coakley Brown’s 3rd Place piece, “Time for Tea.”
