Art demonstrations this weekend at Edge Hill House

Demonstrations of fine and practical arts will be given by local artists this weekend at Edge Hill House in conjunction with the Gloucester Arts Festival.

The demonstrations will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 1-5 p.m. Saturday on the lawn of Edge Hill House, which is located at the corner of Main Street and John Clayton Memorial Highway in Gloucester. There will be some products for sale, as well, said Betty Dovel, president of the Gloucester Woman’s Club, which is sponsoring the event.

Participating artisans are Dee Smith, spinning; Karen Meyer, scherenschnitte; Christine Dragoo, bargello; and Lawrence Hollingsworth, painting.

Also, Stephanie Hanson and Donna Garrett, knitting; Ned Lawless, woodworking; Debbie Amerescu and Raphaella Teschner, crocheting; and Janet Weaver and Rosana Fuhrmann, weaving.
