As a result of school closing following Friday’s power outage, Mathews County Public Schools on Monday, April 9 will be open as a regular school day for all students and staff, Superintendent of Schools Nancy Welch announced on Monday.
April 9 was initially scheduled as a teacher workday. The previous week (April 2-6) is the school division’s spring break. The 2017-2018 calendar is expected to be officially amended at the school board’s March 20 regular monthly meeting. ...
