Applications for the 2021 Youth Conservation Camp are being accepted for current ninth-12th graders.
This year, many conservation agencies have partnered together in order to make the camp, which will be held the week of July 12-16, virtual. Attending students will learn about aquatics, forestry, soils, and wildlife.
Campers will attend live presentations in the mornings and have exploration assignments in the afternoons. Once accepted, campers will be responsible to pay the $25 registration fee—although residents of Gloucester, Mathews and Middlesex counties may contact Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation District for assistance in covering the fee.The deadline to apply for the camp is April 30. Call TSWCD at 804-699-3482 for more information. Details can also be found online at https://vaswcd.org/conservation-camp.
