Appointments made to Gloucester schools

The Gloucester County School Board appointed Raymond Billups of Dutton, and Edith Crump of Gloucester, to support services positions during its Dec. 11 meeting.

The board also accepted resignations from Peasley Middle School art teacher Marcy Goldstone, effective Jan. 25, and support services employee Michelle Jones. A coaching resignation was accepted from Gloucester High School crew coach Matthew Hudson.

In addition, the board approved National Board Certification stipends for Peasley mathematics teacher Michael Cole and Peasley special education teacher Tonya Weaver.

Retirement was approved for Abingdon Elementary library assistant Rebecca Miller and support employee Carolyn Pointer, both effective Jan. 1, 2013, and special education resource teacher Diane Lucas, effective Nov. 30.
