The Gloucester Historical Society Scholarship Committee has opened applications for its annual Walter Reed Memorial Scholarship.

To be eligible for the $1,500 scholarship, the applicant must be third year of college or above and majoring in Archaeology, Anthropology, History, or a closely related field. They must be a resident of Gloucester County or demonstrate an abiding interest in local history.

Applications are available on the Gloucester Historical Society Facebook site or by emailing jvarner966@gmail.com. Completed applications are due by June 15.
