Applications being accepted for Project Comfort & Joy

Peninsula Heating & Air, located on Route 17 at Ordinary, will hold its seventh annual Project Comfort & Joy contest in which one local, deserving homeowner will win a heating and cooling system.

PHA will begin accepting applications to win the system Monday, Nov. 3, and will draw a winner on Friday, Dec. 19.

Karen Smith, who owns PHA with her husband Stephen, said that applicants must agree to allow a PHA representative to inspect their home to make sure there is an existing ducted heating/cooling system. But only the top five applications will actually receive in-home visits and be in the running for the ultimate prize which might be worth up to $7,500.

Trane will donate the heating/cooling system for the second straight year, Smith said, while PHA will supply some of the equipment and a number of its employees have volunteered to install the new system on their off time.
