Applications being accepted for Gloucester preschool program

Three- and four-year-old children may attend preschool with Gloucester County Public Schools for the 2019-2020 school year through its Inclusive Placement Opportunities for Preschoolers, or IPOP, program.

To be eligible for the four-day-a-week, full-day preschool program, children must be three years old by Sept. 30, 2019, be toilet-trained and have an up-to-date physical and immunization record. Children and their parents must also reside in Gloucester.

Children must additionally attend a developmental screening provided by GCPS. The tuition cost for the program is $800 per year and parents must also provide transportation.

To schedule an appointment or for more information, call the GCPS Special Education Office by March 1 at 804-693-7880. Screenings will be completed March 8 at the T.C. Walker Education Center.

Selection for the program is based on age-appropriate development and a lottery system. For more information, visit http//gloucester.schooldesk.net/Depa...
