Applications being accepted for Dick Lusher Memorial Scholarship

The Court House Players, a 501(c)(3) community theater serving the Middle Peninsula, is now accepting applications for its 2024 Dick Lusher Memorial Scholarship.

Named after the organization’s founder, the $500 scholarship will be awarded to a Middle Peninsula resident who is a graduating senior or recent high school graduate pursuing an undergraduate degree. The applicant must have been involved in some form of the arts in high school.

No minimum GPA is required for the application, and the student may be planning to pursue any major at any college, including two-year and four-year undergraduate colleges and vocational/technical schools.

A panel of judges will determine the winner of the scholarship, taking all factors into consideration, including past experience in the arts and volunteerism in any form. The winner will be announced in June. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 10.
