Annie Vista Callis, 89, of Port Haywood, Va., died May 12, 2015.

She was a native of Mathews and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was an LPN and worked for Dr. Bowles, Dr. Ransone, and Dr. Gill, all of Mathews.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Callis Jr.; father and mother, Clifford and Ronnie Hudgins, and sister, Myrle Hudgins Sutton, all of Port Haywood.

She is survived by son, James (Jim) A. Callis and his wife Eugenia of Conyers, Ga.; one grandchild, Amy C. Leonard of Hogansville, Ga., and two great-grandchildren, Michelle and Will.

A memorial service will be conduced at St. Paul United Methodist Church Friday, June 12, at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Dede Parrish.
