Annette Shepherd “Anne” Evans, 78, died at her Gloucester home on June 14, 2019.

Anne was born April 18, 1941 in Virginia to Raymond and Ethel Mullins Shepherd. She had worked as a buyer for the Coast Guard Exchange. Anne was an active member of Petsworth Baptist Church.

Though she is gone, she has left the legacy of her love and perseverance, and the ways she touched our lives will remain forever.

Anne is survived by her husband, Emory W. Evans Jr.; daughter, Rebecca G. Cameron; sons, Douglas W. Evans and Joe Hayslett; sister, Elizabeth Collier; 16 grandchildren, and 14 great- grandchildren.

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. John Pouchot was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Windsor Gardens Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, June 18, from 6-7:30.
