Annette Scott Adams, 64, Gloucester, passed away June 14, 2019.

Annette was a 1973 graduate of Kecoughtan High School and worked for the Hampton Clerk of Court as a court stenographer. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

Annette was known by many for the love and pride she showed for her daughters.  They were her whole world.  She was loved dearly and will always be remembered.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rupert and Mary Ann Scott and husband, Gerald Nathan Adams Sr.  

She is survived by her daughters, April Mafturak Stephens and Ashley Nicole Shackelford; a sister, Vicki Schrum (Kevin); brother, Rupert W. Scott Jr., and uncle, Willard Manning.

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Mike Derflinger will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Bethany United Methodist Church.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10.
