Annabell Rebecca Robinson was born on December 17, 1942 in Middlesex County, the oldest of 13 children to the late Joshua and Virginia Goins Cooke. She departed this life peacefully at her home in Urbanna, Virginia, on September 9, 2025 surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband, Dorsey P. Robinson; granddaughter, Morishia Vershonda Robinson and her siblings, Lorenzo Cooke, Catherine Cooke, Margaret Fields and Carol Jean Cooke.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Betty Wyatt (Anthony), Dorothy Booth (Harry), Preston Robinson (Andrea), Florine Graham and Shirley Bristow (Jerry); 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Estell White, Mary Cooke, Barbara Jean Stokes, Frances Whiting and Mary Helen Christien (Brad); three brothers, Thomas Cooke, James Cooke and McKinley Cooke, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The viewing will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2025 at J.K. Redmond Funeral Home, Shacklefords. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025 at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Woods Cross Roads. Interment in the church cemetery.
