Anna Green Cooke of Gloucester, departed this life on May 8, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon M. and Lillie Mae Green, and by her siblings, Vernon Green Jr. and Patricia Green Gordon.
At an early age, Anna accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized as a member of First Baptist Church.
Anna was a supervisor at the Coleman Bridge. She enjoyed going bowling and playing pool, the lottery, bingo, online games and slot machines at the casino. She also loved the Steelers, dolphins and the beach.
Anna leaves to mourn her passing, daughters, Brandy and Briana Cooke, their father, Barry Cooke, and her eldest daughter, Tenika Brandford; her two sisters, Arma Willis (Raymond) and Margaret Savage; four brothers, Purcell Green (Grace), John Green, Robert Green (Bonita) and Linwood Green; two aunts, Mary and Velma Green, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021, at J.K. Redmond Funeral Home, Shacklefords. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the funeral home, followed by interment in Gloucester Fields Cemetery, Hayes.
