Anglers receive citations for red drum, sheepshead, Spanish mackerel

Several residents have recently received citations from the Virginia Saltwater Fishing Tournament for red drum catch-and-release reports, and for fish of other species caught in state waters.

Red drum release citations recently reported in the vasaltwaterjournal.com went to Dakotah Skye Mayo of Gloucester, 50-inch fish caught and released at York Spit Light; William A. Horsley of Gloucester, 48-inch fish caught off the Rappa-

hannock River; and Nichole Harle of Gloucester, 47.5-inch fish caught off the Rappahannock.

Horsley recently nabbed another citation, this one for a 12-pound, 7-ounce sheepshead caught while jigging crab bait off the Rappahannock.

Also qualifying for a state citation was Clark Barkley of Hallieford, for the catch of a four-pound, 26.3-inch Spanish mackerel off Cape Charles. ...
