Andersen, Lockerby elected chair, vice chair of Gloucester School Board

Troy Andersen, the Glouces-ter Point district representative to the Gloucester County School Board, was elected to serve as the board’s 2022 chairman at Tuesday night’s reorganizational meeting, which was held in the T.C. Walker Education Center Auditorium.

Andersen, Darren Post and Kellie Lockerby were each nominated to serve as chair. Lockerby said that when nominated she did not wish to serve in that position. Andersen won the position with a vote of 4-2 with one abstainer.

Post and Lockerby were both nominated to serve as vice chairman. Post said he did not have any interest in serving as vice chair. Lockerby was elected unanimously.

The school board made several appointments to various boards, commissions and committees for 2022.
