“An Artist’s Journey,” an annual show at the Bay School Community Arts Center that focuses on the student artist, will open with a reception from 5-7 p.m. Friday in the Art Speaks Gallery, 279 Main Street, Mathews. Refreshments will be served. Artists participating in the show have all taken a class recently at the Bay School as part of their creative journey. The resulting artwork was either created at the Bay School or inspired by classes taken there. Nineteen artists are participating, and for some of them it’s their first time entering a gallery show, said a press release. The artwork on display includes felting, photography, paintings, pottery, jewelry, and more. “This show is a great opportunity to learn about all of the wonderful classes offered at the Bay School for all skill levels and ages,” said the release.
