Amy Marie Fary, 53, of Rochelle, Virginia and formerly of Gloucester, left this life much too soon after a brief battle with cancer.

Amy was a free spirit who loved music, animals and was a dear friend to many. Most of all, Amy loved her momma, Laura Mattox Bryant, who preceded her in death. While Amy lived a life full of adventures, she had found a good and peaceful life in the mountains of Virginia with her soulmate, Stanley.

Amy was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Russell and Bonnie Fary and Charles and Arlene Davis Mattox.  She leaves behind her longtime partner, Stanley Lewis; her father, Rusty Fary (Caryn); her stepmother, Debbie Hamilton, her aunts, Dianne Graham (Doyle) and Phyllis Harris (Chuck); her uncles, Wayne Fary and Carroll Martin (Jane); and her angel here on Earth, Karen Marsh-Williams. Amy is also survived by many cousins and friends including Kaityn Fary, Greg Graham, the Wingate family and her church family.

A service will be held at a later date.
