AMANDA LYNN GAMMISCH

Amanda Lynn Gammisch, 41, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., formerly of St. Petersburg, passed away June 18, 2021 at her home. Amanda was being treated by Hospice care administered by her significant other Michael Gatley, Michael’s mother Karen, and her father, Bob Gammisch.

Beautiful and brave she fought her illness for five years with grace and dignity. Born in Virginia, she graduated from Orono High School in Maine and received her B.S. in Communications from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia.

She worked in Northern Virginia until 2003 when she moved to St. Petersburg. She was employed by Padgett Communications, Maximo Presbyterian, and Premier Beverage.

She was an accomplished Yoga instructor and sailor. Her other interests included pottery, art and music.

Amanda is survived by her mother and step-dad, Susan and Bruce Barber of Palmetto, Fla.; father, Bob Gammisch of Gloucester, Va.; loving family and a wealth of dear friends who stood by her side throughout her illness.
Her smile and loving personality will be missed by all.
