Alice Christine Braun, 90, died June 6, 2013 at Walter Reed Convalescent Center, Gloucester.

Alice enjoyed music, crocheting and sewing doll clothes. She would sit for hours and watch the butterflies fluttering among the flowers bringing her much enjoyment and peace. Alice was a wonderful wife, mother, nannie and great-nannie. Her family will miss her very much.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Jessie Lee Belcher.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Robert Braun; daughter, Rachael Smith; son, Bernard L. Smith Jr. and wife Debbie; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral service conducted by Pastor Frank Boyd was held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, at Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. Friends assembled at the cemetery. The family received friends Sunday, June 9, 2013, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
