Alex Worster of Gloucester, passed away on July 19, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Born and raised in Hampton, Alex was known for his generous heart, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
A proud graduate of Thomas Nelson Community College, Alex earned his associate’s degree before turning his passion for automobiles into a career. As the owner of Meridian Restorations, he specialized in automotive wheel repair and took great pride in his craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Alex found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved being near the water, especially crabbing along the coast, and spent many hours on the golf course or under the hood of a car. A devoted sports fan, he could often be found cheering on the Washington Commanders and the L.A. Dodgers, teams he followed with great enthusiasm. He also enjoyed singing karaoke with friends, sharing laughter and music wherever he went.
Above all, Alex cherished his family. He had a special bond with his two nephews, Gavin and Colton, who brought him endless joy and pride. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle who never hesitated to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word.
Alex was preceded in death by his father, William Worster. He is survived by his mother, Suzanne Thiele-Thornton; his brother, Christopher Worster; his stepfather, Mark Thornton; his sister-in-law, Amanda Worster, and his beloved nephews, Gavin and Colton Worster.
Alex’s memory will live on in the lives he touched with his kindness, laughter, and love.
In honor of Alex’s generous spirit and to support a cause close to the family’s heart, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Glioblastoma Research Organization. A celebration of life will be planned in the near future.
