Aleta Smoot Adams of Gloucester, 68, died on August 31, 2016 at her home. She was born in Gloucester County, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy Quillian.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Ray Adams; her children, Barry Smoot, Jr. and Lynne Michelle Upton; four grandchildren and her sisters.

A memorial service will be at a later date. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, is in charge of arrangements.
