ALBERT RINDA “AL” HINES

Albert Rinda “Al” Hines, 69, of Hayes, died at his home October 13, 2016, with loved ones at his side. 

Al was retired from civil service as a Contract Administrator, Naval Weapons Station. He was a member of Union Baptist Church, Achilles Masonic Lodge No. 281 AF&AM, and the Order of Eastern Star Pocahontas Chapter 103, Williamsburg.

Al loved drag racing, especially in his own 1967 Camaro and he was a lifelong Redskins fan. Al loved his family and his absence in our lives will be deeply missed. May his wonderful spirit live on and may his memory be eternal.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert J. and Sarah M. Hines; stepmother, Dallas Hines; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Christine Thomas, and brother-in-law, Lowell Thomas.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara T. Hines; daughters, Andrea Fuentes (Hector) and Christina Green (Michael); grandchildren, Alexis, Justin and Alyssa; great-granddaughter, Kate; brother, Thomas H. Hines (Donna); nephews, Jeremy, Kevin and Chris, and sister-in-law, Myra Thomas.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Richard Whiteheart was held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, at Union Baptist Church, Hayes. Interment with Masonic Rites followed in Gloucester Point Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday, October 16, 2016, from 4:30-6 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
