Albert (Al) Mohammed Ali Sr. of Gloucester, Virginia, peacefully entered into eternal life on January 31, 2026 at the age of 93. He was born in Washington, D.C., on December 29, 1932 to the late Abdul R. Ali and Edith C. Sullivan Ali. After residing in Prince George’s County, Md., for many years, he moved with his son and family to Gloucester. He was preceded in death by his wife, Veronica G. Johnson Ali, and brothers, Abdul and Prince Ali. He is survived by his sons, Ahmed (Sandi), Albert Jr. (Teri), Assam (Candice), and Agimon; his grandchildren, Ahniya, Ahvanah, Nicholas, Nehemiah, Tajee, Jordan, and Jaden, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family visitation and viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. at J.K. Redmond Funeral Home, 3632 Lewis B. Puller Memorial Highway, Shacklefords, Va. 23156.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Thornton’s Funeral Home, 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Md. 20640. Viewing will be at 10 a.m., followed with a service at 11.
