Affordable housing topic of next GRC meeting

LaDonna Cruse, housing education manager for the Virginia Housing Development Authority, will be the guest speaker at the Gloucester Resource Council’s April 4 meeting. It will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Gloucester Main Library’s community room.

Cruse will share information on the programs, services and resources of the VHDA, which is a not-for-profit organization created by the state to help residents attain quality affordable housing. Programs and service areas include homeownership and first-time buyers, loans, mortgage credits, loans and grants for veterans, renter assistance, and financing and tax credit programs for business partners.

The GRC is a network of human service agencies and organizations; businesses and community members that meet the first Wednesday of each month to discuss and share information and resources.
