The Northern Neck - Middle Peninsula Chapter of the Virginia Aeronautical Society will take a field trip on Saturday, July 18, to the Dahlgren Naval Support Facility in place of its normal monthly meeting. The group’s speaker last month, Dr. Rob Gates, president of the Dahlgren Heritage Foundation, will lead the tour. Dahlgren needs a head count and names of participants ahead of time. The tour is open to the public. Those attending the tour are asked to meet at the Dahlgren Heritage Museum parking lot to board a school bus for the guided tour. The bus leaves the visitor center at 11 (those attending are asked to show up around 10:30-10:45 a.m.). Tickets are free (enter $0 in the price box); however, donations are appreciated.
