The Northern Neck-Middle Peninsula chapter of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society will meet for lunch and a program today, Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Pilot House Restaurant by Hummel Field Airport in Topping on Route 3. The meeting begins with a meet-and-greet at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at noon and the program at 12:30 p.m. This month’s program includes a viewing of the Discovery Channel’s DVD “Attack on The Pentagon” in remembrance of the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11. Time permitting, the group may also watch another DVD, “Air War in Vietnam,” produced by the Air Force Association. The group meets on the third Thursday of the month (except December) and has presentations on current and historical civilian and military aviation interests and beyond. All who are interested in aviation and history are invited to attend. Email NelsonJody@verizon.net for more information (include “VAHS” in the subject line)....
