Aeronautical group to meet today in Topping

The Northern Neck-Middle Peninsula chapter of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society will hold its monthly buffet luncheon meeting today, Thursday, May 21, at the Pilot House Restaurant, which is located on Route 3 in Topping, near Hummel Field Airport. The program begins with a meet and greet at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at noon and the program at 12:30 p.m. This month’s speaker is Richard Gen-aille, statewide president of VAHS. His presentation will include a “state of the VAHS” overview of programs and activities along with remarks concerning the importance of preserving aviation history and VAHS’s role. He will also have interesting displays showcasing some of the VAHS Hall of Fame and archives.
