Advocating for Main Street … during a pandemic

Like most community banks, Chesapeake Bank has detailed knowledge of its customers’ needs and has close ties to the communities it serves. During this difficult economic time, Chesapeake Bank is promoting a message of hope and unity for local businesses.

“The pandemic turned our lives, our businesses and our economy upside down,” said Chesapeake Bank’s Director of Marketing Paula Milsted. The bank turned to its ad agency to share a reassuring message that conveys community solidarity and the bank’s support for the economy’s driving force, local small businesses.

The “Main Street Campaign” with the motto, “We’re helping them. So they can keep helping you” was recently launched.

“Williamsburg-based photographer Corey Miller captured random ‘open for business’ images of our customers and non-customers alike throughout Lancaster County, Gloucester, Mathews, Williamsburg and Richmond’s Westhampton area,” said Milsted.
