Advance tickets available for Groovin’ in the Park concert series

Advance tickets and members-only ticket packages to Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park’s 2020 Groovin’ in the Park outdoor waterfront concert series are now available.

The series opens on Saturday, May 2, with “Mardi Gras in May,” a concert by Elana Lisa and the Hot Mess, whose members costume up New Orleans style. The first 100 concert goers will receive Mardi Gras necklaces at the gate, which opens at 5 p.m. The concert will be from 6-8 p.m.

Other season performances are Bobby Messano on May 23, with an opening by Ray Pittman; Good Shot Judy on June 27, with the Honeywind Bluegrass Boys opening; and a special “Back to Woodstock” performance on July 25, when everybody will be encouraged to “let the sun shine in.”

The series will continue on Aug. 22 with the reggae band Stuck on a Name, performing after an opening by the Flat-Tones; a Sept. 5 performance by the Josh Walter Quartet with Sharon Rae North, who will be preceded by Toby Gillie and the Unpredict...
