Adult Day Care donation

Patricia Stover and Paula Keener recently gave a selection of dementia-focused puzzles, games, crafts and manipulatives for use by Gloucester Adult Day Care, also stopping by to enjoy an ice cream social. GADC is an adult day care center that provides care and socialization in a supervised community setting. Keener’s mother, Barbara Brooks, attended GADC before passing away last September. “Gloucester Adult Day Care was my saving grace,” Keener said. “They treated Mama with care and compassion as if she was their family member.” Brooks was founder of the Friends of Lewis B. Puller Center. After the organization closed, former president Stover along with Keener decided to use leftover funds to benefit like-minded programs. Also pictured are the items donated to GADC, which is located at 5873 Fiddlers Green Road.
