Adele Annette Carter, 82, of Cobbs Creek, entered into eternal rest on Oct. 5, 2018. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Carter; parents, Hartley and Grace Cooke; two brothers, Marshall Gwynn and Richard Cooke, and one sister, Irene Spriggs.

She is survived by her children, William W. Carter (Alissa), Kim R. Davis (Thomas), Todd L. Carter (Deborah), and Shari C. Jarvis (J.C.); a special granddaughter, Tonya Matthews (Jonathan); three sisters, Gertrude Diggs, Irma Cooke, and Grace Williams (Frederic); three brothers, Edgar Cooke, Larry Cooke and Michael Cooke (Eva); two sisters-in-law, Mary Gwynn and Harriet Carter; one brother-in-law, Herbert Car-

ter; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 3601 Buckley Hall Road, Cobbs Creek. Burial will be in church cemetery.

A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at the church.
