Activities blooming at Brent and Becky’s

Brent and Becky’s, Gloucester, has announced a number of activities for March and April as the highly-anticipated daffodil season blooms and peaks in our area. These include:

Master Gardeners

9-11 a.m. Saturday, open to all. Helen Hamilton of the John Clayton Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society will speak on “Plant Senses.”

History of Bulbs and Blooms

10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 23, in cooperation with the Gloucester Daffodil Festival. Brent Heath will discuss the history and evolution of the daffodil bulb industry in Gloucester County; $40 includes box lunch and tour. Spring Garden Tours

1-3 p.m. Wednesdays, March 13, 20, 27, April 3 and 10; and 1-3 p.m. Saturdays, March 16, 23, 30 and April 13. Showing the trial fields and gardens at the farm and home of Brent and Becky Heath; walking shoes recommended. $10, reservations required, call 804-693-396...
