On June 1, Raven Cash, chair of the Abingdon Ruritan Club’s Public Service Committee, and her son Brody provided 250 munchkins and four boxes of coffee from Dunkin Donuts for breakfast to the parents of Achilles Elementary School students. The parents came in that day to take a simulated Standards of Learning test to experience what their children go through when taking the state assessment. Parents then provided feedback on what can be done to make the testing more beneficial to their children’s needs.
