About 20 veterans attend Page MS program

About 20 veterans were invited to a special Veterans Day ceremony on Friday morning at Page Middle School, where they were recognized for their service.

The program, which included a presentation of colors, a rendition of “America the Beautiful,” and a special acknowledgment and video of veteran guests, followed a breakfast for the veterans in the school’s cafeteria.

“We’re thankful you all could spend some time with us this morning,” said Page principal Patricia McMahon. To the veterans in attendance she said, “You are the role models for our children and we are thankful.”

She said Friday morning’s program started as a vision by Page teacher Brian Teucke, a U.S. Army veteran himself. “His vision became a reality,” McMahon said.
