The Abingdon Ruritan Club, Bena, is offering a workforce training scholarship, as well as an academic scholarship, for graduating Gloucester High School and Gloucester homeschool seniors. The workforce training scholarship in the amount of $1,500 is available for students who will be attending a community college, vocational program or trade school. It is renewable for two years for a total of $3,000. The academic scholarship is available for students who are planning to attend a college or university in the amount of $1,500, which is renewable for four years for a total of $6,000. Completed scholarship applications are due by April 17 at 3 p.m. GHS students can get a copy of the application through their Naviance account or by visiting the counseling office.
