Abingdon Holy Rollers

The Abingdon Holy Rollers, a group of cycling enthusiasts from Abingdon and Ware Episcopal churches in Gloucester and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Ivy, recently met for a ride from Frostburg, Maryland, to Point State Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on the Great Allegheny Passage, finishing the approximately 270 miles on June 17. The Great Allegheny Passage is a rails-to-trails trail, so the railroad tracks seemed an appropriate place to pose for the photo after finishing the trek. Those taking part included, from left, Pat Roane, Judy Dobson, Hugh Bryan, Brenda Claytor, the Rev. Sven vanBaars, Linda Tjossem and Bill Baer.
