AARP TaxAide services ongoing

The Middle Peninsula AARP TaxAide group has begun its tax services at Gloucester Library (Main Street Center), Mathews Memorial Library, Bethany United Methodist Church in Gloucester Point, and the Cryer Center at Locust Hill.

The group is operating by appointment only and is not taking phone appointments in Gloucester or Mathews this year.

Similar to last year, taxpayers will have their documents scanned during the first appointment. Their federal and Virginia taxes will be prepared remotely and they will need to return for a second appointment to review, sign and receive a copy of their return. Returns will be electronically filed with the IRS and Virginia.

Packets are available at the Gloucester, Mathews, Deltaville and Urbanna libraries as well as the Cryer Center in Locust Hill. Packets are available on Wednesdays at Bethany United Methodist.
