AAA Lawnmower and Small Engine Repair has grown from a mobile service into a shop on Route 17, just north of Mike’s Tire at Ordinary.

Owner Doug Walker is a certified mechanic, as is his one employee. They hold certification for Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Honda and other brands.

They repair all types of lawnmowers and small engines including trimmers, blowers and even go-karts. They do not repair diesel or large engines, Walker said.

Unlike cars and trucks that have become so computerized, Walker said small engines might have a chipboard but a lot of the repairs are very time-consuming and labor intensive as you must disassemble parts before a repair can be made. Besides repairs, Walker said he offers pickup and delivery service for his customers.

He said he has about 25 years’ small engine repair experience. He opened AAA three years ago.
