A Whimsical Christmas

This year brings the 25th anniversary of the Christmas Open House, previously called the Christmas Tea, sponsored by the Ware River Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons. Mark your calendars now for Dec. 9 and get your tickets for one of the four time slots to see a beautiful home and enjoy delicious foods.

“A Whimsical Wilson Creek Christmas” will open Wilson Creek Farm, the home of Herbert and Marian Fitzgerald, from noon-1 p.m.; 1:30-2:30 p.m.; 3-4 p.m.; and 4:30-5:30 p.m.

The owners are graciously sharing their home which dates back to an original land grant to the Throckmortons for this very special occasion.  The current residence was built by an industrialist over a foundation from the 18th century.

Your first stop when arriving at this 1870s cypress-sided home set on a 150-acre estate will be the dining room, but don’t miss all of the rooms with their 10-foot ceilings and the magnificent flower arrangements in each.
