Several Mathews County Woman’s Club members recently enjoyed a field trip to member Lisa Capen’s homestead in Bavon. Included on the tour was her extensive Cottage Industry Quilting Studio as well as the farm that featured raised garden beds, fruit trees and an array of beautiful chickens. Following the tour, Capen served a lunch highlighting some of her homegrown delicacies. She teaches quilting on YouTube and has 135,000 followers (Lisa Capen Quilts).
