A Skills USA sweep

Gloucester High School automotive technology students Garret Ivey, Nick Robbins and Luke Teller (top to bottom) swept first, second and third place, respectively, at the HRADA Skills USA regional high school automotive competition held Jan. 12 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. This marked the first time in the event’s history that students from one school took the top three spots. The competition consisted of 10 stations with each representing a different automotive problem that the students had to repair under the supervision of a judge. Ivey will advance to the state competition in Roanoke in April.
